Atelier Van Lieshout, Autocrat , 1998
New exhibition: Das Haus
After the large solo exhibition Die Stadt der Sklaven, Atelier Van Lieshout now presents the large retrospective Das Haus in Ludwig Forum, Aachen. It will be the largest overview of Atelier Van Lieshout's work from the early '80 till now. AVL installs thematic rooms, that offer a retrospective walk through AVL's most significant works, from machines to bad furniture, from biogas installations to mobile homes, and from sculptures to weapons. The works are thematically organized which makes it possible to understand the works of AVL as a 'big Saga'.
The exhibition will be on show from 13 September 2008 till 11 January 2009.
